Elizabeth B. Kendrick Cunningham

[2010] Spouse: Paul Cunningham, Lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, 1 daughter, 2 sons, 2 granddaughters, 2 grandsons

Attended Indiana University - Bloomington 1960 to 1961. Married Paul in September 1961. Lived in Bloomington and Logansport 1961 to 1970. Our 3 children Greg, Phil and Mary were born during those years. Moved to Indianapolis in 1970 for a job opportunity for Paul and so I could complete my college degree. 1976 graduated with BS in Medical Technology from I.U. Med School. Worked for I.U. and Riley Hospital Dept. of Pathology Serology Lab as bench tech, lead research tech and Supervisor for 20+ years. We were a national leader in research and diagnostic testing for Histaplasmosis receiving samples from throughout the country. In 1997, I was offered the opportunity to work with a group of Pathologists at Eli Lilly to help develop and implement biological markers the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases, such as alzheimers. Happy to say those tests are being used in world-wide clinical drug trials to test the effectiveness of new drug on patients with alzheimers! Love to travel, family camped throughout the 48 states. Paul and I now enjoy creature comforts more as we've traveled to Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii and Alaska. The entire family celebrates summer with a trip to the North Carolina coast. Health problems have kept us from world travel =, but we still take off on road trips whenever possible.

I love to read (the library is my best friend) and garden (I plan and Paul does the heavy work). Family is a job. the grandkids keep us on our toes and young at heart. The last 50 years have been wonderful, better than Paul and I ever wished, hoped or dreamed possible.
