Rites Saturday for Teacher At Elmhurst

Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette McClure, 45, of 5118 Kyle Road, an instructor at Elmhurst High School, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Mrs. McClure died at 8:30 a.m. yesterday in the Lutheran Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.

A native of Camden, she lived in Fort Wayne 21 years. She was a physical education teacher at Elmhurst and formerly taught for three years at Angola.

Mrs. McClure also taught at the Franklin and Hillcrest school in Fort Wayne.

She was a member of the Waynedale Methodist Church, Fort Wayne Teachers Association, Indiana Teachers Association, and Orchard Ridge Country Club.

Survivors include her husband, J.H. (Jake), a former South Side High School teacher; a daughter, Miss Ann McClure, at home; a son, Dr. James McClure, Fort Wayne; the father, Jesse Yeager, Camden; four sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Thelma) Pekary, Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. LeRoy (Charline) Robeson, Logansport, Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie) Bailey, Sharon, Pa., Mrs. George (Virginia) Marcellino, Camden, and a brother, Charles Yeager, Camden.

Rev. Phil L. Stephens will officiate at the services at the Klaehn Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon today. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.

The family has asked that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Johnny Appleseed School.
