LARRY E. EHRMAN, 73, of Monroeville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014. He was born Aug. 13, 1941 a son of the late Warner and Norma "Toni" Ehrman in Fort Wayne. He attended Elmhurst H.S. On June 15, 1954, he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was active in his faith up to his death. On Sept. 24, 1966, he married Diane Ahrens of Hartford City, and together they shared their life and their faith for 48 happy years. In 1971, their daughter, Michelle, was born, and they spent many wonderful times together as a family. Larry first worked in farming, then as an ice cream maker at Eaveys in Fort Wayne. Later, he was a truck driver in Iowa and there after for Bohrer in Woodburn. For the past 40 years he owned and operated his own janitorial service business in the Fort Wayne area. He enjoyed spending time with his many family members and friends, fishing (especially with his brother, Tom), gardening, vacations to the beach, and classical music. His many talents included painting, woodworking, cooking, and baking homemade bread. "His smile and sense of humor will be missed by all whose lives were touched by him. We look forward to the Bible's promise of an earthly resurrection in which 'all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out!' (John 5:28,29)". Surviving are his wife, Diane; daughter, Michelle (Nathan) Benson; grandchildren, Megan and Ethan Benson, all of Woodburn; brothers, Tom (Linda) Ehrman of Homosassa Springs, Fla., and Jeffrey (Kay) Ehrman of Pawling, N.Y.; sisters, Julie (Walter) Smith of Fort Wayne, and Marianne (Jan) Kuckuck of Columbia City; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 11181 SR 37, New Haven, Ind., with calling one hour prior. Steve Wahl officiating.
