Elden E. Stoops
Elden E. Stoops, 57, of 2230 Pleasant Ridge Drive, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Lutheran Hospital.
Mr. Stoops, a native of Wabash, lived in Allen County the last 30 years. He taught at Elmhurst High School for 32 years. He was also a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Avonnelle; three sons, Elden E. Jr. of Valparaiso, Fred of Tulsa, Okla., and Eric of Muncie; one daughter, Maryellen Hartman of Oak Park, Ill.; and one sister Evelyn Compton of Sommerset, Ind.
First memorial services are at Waynedale United Methodit Church today.
