Laron Thompson

[2010] Spouse: Nancy Thompson, Lives in Camas, Washington, 1 daughter, 2 sons, 1 granddaughter, 2 grandsons

In 1964, about the time I graduated from college, I married Nancy Kruckeberg, a Concordia High School graduate, and we have three children and three grandchildren.

After graduation from Taylor University, In Upland, Indiana, I started my work career with Union Carbide Corporation and was with them 21 years in the Human Resource function. I worked in Iowa, Illinois, and New Jersey prior to transferring cross-country to Vancouver, Washington, in 1983. In 1986, I started working exclusively in the employee benefits area with Palena Associates, a local insurance agency. In 1993, I received a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation, and in 2001 began working with Biggs Insurance Services, the largest locally owned full-service agency in Southwest Washington. My wife Nancy, who is a life and health producer, also works with the same firm

I enjoy woodworking, photography and road trips in our Corvette and other owners. We have also vacationed through several countries in Europe, to Costa Rica, Mexico and Hawaii. At this point in time, we have no immediate plans for retirement.
